SANGUEM: Khutkar Brothers defeated Devnamol Cricketers while DS Strikers beat Thorlemol Boys in their respective league matches in the 3rd Kalay Premier league cricket tournament organised by Frontline Cricket Academy, at Sanguem Cricket Academy ground, Kalay, on Tuesday.
In the first match of the day, Khutkar Brothers defeated Devnamol Cricketers by huge margin of 166 runs.
Batting first, Khutkar Brothers piled up 217 for 4 in allotted 18 overs.
Aryan Khutkar and Shirish Khutkar scored half centuries. In reply, Devnamol Cricketers were bundled out for 51 runs in 13.5 overs.
In the second match, DS Strikers beat Thorlemol Boys by 53 runs. Opting to bat first, DS Strikers registered 174 for 4 in allotted 20 overs.
Man-of-the-match Sandesh Shelke hammered an unbeaten 86 runs.
In reply, Thorlemol Boys could manage to score just 121 runs.
Sanjay Misal was the most successful bowler for DS Strikers who scalped 4 wickets for 30 runs.
