Electrotech Systems emerge champs

PANJIM: Electrotech systems emerged champions of the GCCI Cup table tennis team championship event organised by Panjim Table Tennis Club in association with Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), at Indoor stadium, Panjim, recently.

PANJIM: Electrotech systems emerged champions of the GCCI Cup table tennis team championship event organised by Panjim Table Tennis Club in association with Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), at Indoor stadium, Panjim, recently. 
Electrotech systems edged out Mushtifund Saunstha Sports Academy A 3-2 in a cracker of a contest. 
The championship was held in Youth (U-21) boys and girls categories with one cadet boy’s event in team format. Matches were played in boys singles (U-12), mixed doubles, boys doubles, boys singles and girls singles in best of 5. 
Weslie do Rosario, Sucheta Bansal, Anshuman Agarwal and Upendra Talawdekar represented the winning  team while the runners up team was represented by Rutuj Sonawane, Akshata Nair, Kewal Tamhankar, Rajat Dalal, Sourabh Naik and Simran Kubal. 
Semi-finals prizes were awarded to Lenz TT Foundation and Mushtifund Saunstha Sports Academy C while Miramar Sports Club, Mushtifund Saunstha Sports Academy B, Peddem Sports Club and Mushtifund Saunstha Sports Academy D bagged prizes for reaching quarters.  
St Joseph Institute, Vasco were awarded promising team prize while promising young player prize (U-12) was awarded to Vincente Fernandes.
