CALANGUTE: Hosts Candolim Sports Club trounced Guirim Welfare and Cultural Club 3-0 in Goveia Super Cup inter-village football tournament at Dr. Gustavo Monteiro Stadium, Candolim, Saturday.
Candolim began on a promising note and could have gone one up in the 5th minute but a Joelif try was neatly fisted away for a corner by the Guirim keeper.
The hosts finally took the lead in the 15th minute through Nehal Naik.
Candolim dominating the proceedings after the break and came close to scoring a couple of times. A Joelif try in the 48th minute hit the crossbar and went out. Manuel Crasto scored a brace in the 50th and 58th minutes.
