Fans nab suspicious man for witchcraft at Nehru Stadium during the game

After recording back to back wins, Churchill Brothers FC Goa looked confident against Bagan on Saturday. However, despite suffering an early setback after conceding Diawara’s goal, the Red Machines created plenty of chances but their players just couldn’t get the ball at the back of the net. Things got from bad to worse after they conceded two more goals in the second half in the span of seven minutes to go down 0-3 at the hour mark.

That’s when the Red Machines fans noticed a suspicious man in the stands reportedly practising witchcraft. The Red Machines fans got hold of the man, who was learnt to be a Mohun Bagan fan, and was later handed over to the Goa Police at the Stadium.

It is learnt that the man had lemons, orange cloth and some strings with him.

“We had received an update regarding this before the kick off from a friend from Kolkata and we had tried to stop his entry at the Stadium. We don’t know how he made it inside but as soon the fans noticed him, they handed him to the police. Football is a fair game and we wouldn’t expect such practices during the match,” stated a club official.

Surprisingly after the man was ejected from the stadium, Mohun Bagan didn’t score any more goals.
