The three month nine-a-side football league tournament was organized by Future Star Sports and the final was played on December 6.
FC Bardez remained unbeaten in the tournament.
The league was open till the last day with all teams battling to reach the top four to get a chance to clinch the IFL trophy. FC Bardez, Candolim FC, Charmant Junior and Siolim United qualified to play in the last round. Whereas, Nuvem Al Seer, Vanxim Divar, Mapusa FC, KGN FC were nominated to play the Plate Cup.
The title decider was a fast-paced affair with both teams holding fort till the breather. The trend continued for major part on resumption before Guru’s long ranger beat the outstretched hands of Mario, custodian of Candolim FC.
The Plate Cup winners were Nuvem Al Seer while the runners-up were Vaxim Divar.
Best player of the tournament was Francis Fernandes of FC Bardez and Best goalkeeper of the tournament to Clyde Fischery of KGN FC.
The tournament was sponsored by KGN Cargo Services saw a total of eight teams compete during the three-month period.
