PANJIM: FC Goa scored a solitary goal win over Sporting Clube de Goa in the Goa Football Association U-14 League First Division played at Don Bosco ground, Panjim on Wednesday.
FC Goa scored the winning goal in the second half when a brilliant free kick by Grenville Nunes in the dying minutes of the match was converted by Arison Ferrao to give full points to FC Goa.
Meanwhile in another match at Astro turf ground, Sesa Football Academy defeated Salgaocar Football Club 2-1. Sesa FA’s Ds Zimik Maring scored the match-winner in the 70+2nd minute after both the teams were tied 1-1 till 70th minute. Sesa FA had taken the lead in the 25th minute through Nishar Rehman while Clavie Fernandes made it all square for the Salgaocar in the 26th minute before Maring scored the winning goal in the injury time.
At Ella ground, Dempo SC scored seven past Churchill Brothers.
Asher Fernandes bagged quadruple while Swavel Furtado netted a brace. Topan Mirj also got on the scoresheet with a goal.
