CALANGUTE: `The Legends of the Beautiful Game’, Calangute, will felicitate Goan legends of yesteryears for their contribution to football on April 29 at Baga.
The Goan legends, Fortunato Franco, Caetano Catao Fernandes, Avinder Singh, Leopoldo Fernandes, Shubash Sinari, Socrates Carvalho, Eustaquio Pereira, Ernest Braganza, Maurice Pinto, Ireneu Joao Gomes (Pandu), Maria Rebello and Anton Lourdes (Sarto) Gomes who donned colours for Tata Sports Club (Mumbai), Vasco, Dempo, Salgaocar, Sesa FA, Mohun Bagan, and Eutrapelia SC will be honoured by MLA Michael Lobo.
The recognition has been taken by a group of sports lovers – Bartholomew Sieiro, Cyriaco Dias, Valmiki Cardozo, Saluzinho Fernandes, Francis Silveira, Peter Carvalho.
