PANJIM: The Goa Cricket Association (GCA) announced the Ranji probable’s for the Fitness and Conditioning camp, however, former Goa skipper Swapnil Asnodkar and all- rounder Shadab Jakati were the surprise exclusion from the preliminary squad.
Both Swapnil and Shadab despite achieving IPL stardom were left out in what looked like GCA shift in focus to give the upcoming talent an opportunity to showcase their talent at the next level.
GCA’s move could be seen as a competition to give their best to earn their place in the team. However, consistent performer has been deservingly included in the cut.
The probables include Sagun Kamat, Sumiran Amonkar, Amogh Desai, Snehal Kauthankar, Darshan Misal, Suyash Prabhudesai, Vaibhav Govekar, Prathamesh Gawas, Deepraj Gaonkar, Manthan Khutkar, Tunish Sawkar, Rahul Mehta, Keenan Vaz, Samar Dubhashi, Rajshekhar Harikant, Aditya Suryawanshi, Amulya Pandrekar, Sriniwas Fadte, Vedant Naik, Sachin Bukkam, Ganeraj Narvekar, Lakshay Garg, Felix Alemao, Vijesh Prabhudesai, Heramb Parab, Ruthvik Naik, Sidesh Ramani and Vishamber Kahlon.
