MAPUSA: Super Goans Sports Club registered a well deserved 4-1 win over Ucassaim SC in the inaugural match of the GFA’s Third Division League Group D Bardez Zone, held at Moira grounds here on Monday.
All the goals came in the first session of play.
Craig Menezes put Ucassaim ahead in the very 9th minute of play with a neat placement, 1-0.
However Super Goans regrouped themselves and scored four goals through Cyprian Rodrigues (2) and Dalesh Pednekar (2).
At Vagator Parish Youth Sports Club Ground, Bhumika SCC fought tooth and nail to get the better of ABC SC Arambol by 4-3 margin.
For the winners Sairaj Kalshankar, Prasad Sawant, Pranesh Ashvekar (2) were the goal scorers. While for Arambol colts Manuel Rodrigues hattrick went in vain.
At Chandor ground – Macazana WC defeated Uguem Rising by 2-1 goals. Aloysh Costa scored a brace for Macazana while Owen Carvalho reduced the margin for Uguem.
