GFA Goa Pro League likely to kick-off on August 23

PANJIM: The GFA Pro League is likely to kick-off on August 23 with Calangute Association taking on Vasco Club at Duler Stadium, Mapusa.
A club official who attended today’s meeting stated that the first and second round matches would be played at Duler Stadium which is likely to undergo major repairs in August.
Newly promoted Sesa FA will play Dempo on August 24. The Panjim Footballers will clash with Goan FC on August 26 followed by Salgaocar SC and Corps of Signals on August 27, followed by Velsao SCC vs Sporting Clube de Goa on August 28 and Churchill Bros FC vs Guardian Angel SC on August 29.
The first two or three rounds will be played at Duler Stadium with the Charity Match between Goan FC and Dempo slated for August 1 at Duler stadium.
The meeting which was chaired by Dominic Pereira, Chairman of the Competitions Committee, dealt with the modalities of the organisation of the top league with full details not being provided due to Goa’s participation in the Santosh Trophy west zone which will be held in Goa, the venue being likely at Bambolim Athletic Stadium and the National Games to be held in Goa in November.
The clubs deliberated on the CRS system with transfers being applicable only during the transfer period windows. 
Two U-20 players have to be compulsorily fielded in the league by each team.
