GFA-Vedanta Women’s League to kick-off on Nov 15

PANJIM: The 3rd edition of GFA-Vedanta Senior Women’s League 2019-20 will start on November 15, according to a press note issued by Goa Football Association (GFA) here, on Friday.
Albert Developers, FC Goa, Churchill Bros, PVC Parra are the four clubs which have reconfirmed their participation and attended the managers meetings and will play on a double-leg league basis with a total of twelve matches. 
The champion team will earn a place in the National Indian Women’s League, with the GFA having an option to nominate one more team depending on the AIFF selection.
Players have been included in the open draft system which will decide the allocation of players on October 15 at Sesa Ghor premises, Patto, Panjim at 3.30 p.m. A total of 120 women football players have been registered in the draft, stated Carol Gomes, chairperson of Women’s Football and Women’s Competition Committee.
