PANJIM: GFDC Siolim won two matches against GFDC Pernem in the inter-center Vodafone GFDC Rising Star Football festival whereas third match was a draw.
Siolim won the boys U-13 and U-10 matches while the girls U-13 match was a draw.
In the U-13 boys match, Saideep Pomburfekar scored two goals to lead his side to a 2-1 win over Pernem.
Saideep scored a goal each in either session. Vismay Dante was the scorer for Pernem.
In the last minutes, Pernem tried hard to equalize but failed in their attempt. Siolim showed good coordination and team work and won the match 2-1. Saideep Pomburfekar was named Player of the Match.
In the boys U-10 match, Siolim won 1-0 against Pernem. Saivesh Goltekar was the scorer for Siolim. In the earlier league match between Pernem and Siolim in U-10 boys category was a 1-1 draw. However, this time Siolim had a good victory as they were able to stop attacks of Pernem boys. Saivesh Goltekar was declared Player of the Match.
In the U-13 girls match between Siolim and Pernem resulted in a goalless draw. Shweta Belgaokar was declared Player of the Match.
