VASCO, NOV 21 Goa were in a commanding position with a crucial 68-run first innings led as they bowled out Orissa for 188 on the second day of Cooh Behar U-19 cricket tournament at BITS Pilani ground, Zuarinagar, Sancaole.

Goa were in a commanding position with a crucial 68-run first innings led as they bowled out Orissa for 188 on the second day of Cooh Behar U-19 cricket tournament at BITS Pilani ground, Zuarinagar, Sancaole.
A five-wicket haul by Vithal Gawas struck the cord for Goa, as Gawas along with spinner Amogh Desai caused maximum damaged to Orissa’s batsmen.
Goa while commencing their second innings lost opener Amogh Dessai with 5 runs as Goa finished the second day with 11 on the scoreboard 
Resuming at the overnight score of 218, Goa added only 40 runs to finish their first innings at 258. Top scorer Darshan Misal missed his ton as he finished his innings scoring 91 runs and all-rounder Sayed Badiuzzama added 21 runs.
Orissa fumbled at the beginning as their opener made way to the pavilion in the fourth over, with seamer Vithal Gawas bowling Subhrajyoti Mishra for four.
Orissa managed to pile up runs thanks to a crucial 80-run second wicket partnership between Pallabendu Mishra (39) and Pratik Das (44). Similarly, the fifth wicket partnership added 62 runs, between Sujit Lenka (21 runs) and highest scorer for Orissa, Sumitish Praharaj 48. 
Vithal Gawas finished with 37 for 5, Amogh Desai 40 for 3, while Ganeshraj Narvekar and Darshan Misal took one wicket each.
