Goa Marathon on February 4

PANJIM: El Shaddai Charitable Trust in association with the Goa Athletic Association will organise their seventh edition of Goa Marathon on February 4. The runs will be 21 km Half Marathon, 10km run, 5 km dream run and school run for children under 14 and 16 years of age.

PANJIM: El Shaddai Charitable Trust in association with the Goa Athletic Association will organise their seventh edition of Goa Marathon on February 4. The runs will be 21 km Half Marathon, 10km run, 5 km dream run and school run for children under 14 and 16 years of age.
The Goa Marathon is an annual event organised for the cause – Homes for the homeless and hope for the hopeless children. The event aims to raise funds to provide a safe and enabling environment for children in need and for their better future and to run educational centres for marginalised children of Goa.
Matthew Kurian, co-founder trustee of El Shaddai Charitable trust while speaking to the press said, “the Goa Marathon is mainly organised to create awareness about health in the State and encourage more people to run as a habit. Apart from this the trust also seek to create awareness and raise funds for the work of organisation of addressing the needs of the poor and vulnerable children in society”.
Goa Athletic Association Paresh Kamat also spoke on the occasion.
