GOA VELHA: Goa Velha Sports Club beat Rosarians XI 4-1 in the GFA U-20 Second Division League at Goa Velha ground, on Saturday.
Goa Velha surged ahead midway in the first half when Alme Fernandes shot home from close range.
Goa Velha consolidated the lead early in the second half through Mashaka of a pass from Malcolm Gonsalves. Alme Fernandes scored his brace and made it 3-0 for GVSC when he tapped into the empty goal with the keeper beaten. Mashaka completed the rout as he weaved past the rival defence and shot home.
Rosarians reduced the margin in the dying minutes of the game.
