RAIA: Goan Warriors defeated Augustias Sporting Club, Pomburpa, 6-5 via the tie-breaker to lift the 2nd ABC Arambol Cup, at Arambol Church ground, on Monday.
Abhram Fernandes opened the score-line for Augustias in the fifth minute. Goan Warriors equalised through Sunil Dessai in the 27th minute, Goan Warriors further inflated the lead through Sunny Parab in the 39th minute but the joy was short-lived as Anthony Fernandes of Augustias levelled terms in the 50th minute.

In the tie-breaker, Goan Warriors proved to be better shooters. .
The winners were Rs 50,000 while the runners-up had to be content with Rs 35,000 plus trophies.
Chief Guest Jit Arolkar, MLA of Mandrem constituency gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of Dr. Caitano Fernandes, GFA President, Jonathan De Souza, GFA vice-president, Uday Lingudkar, Omkar Vaigankar GFA executive member GFA and other dignitaries.
