NAVELIM: The election of Goans Hockey was held and the old guard has returned in strength. Costau Xavier Marquis was re-elected unopposed as president of Goans Hockey at the general body meeting cum election. It was held at the Manohar Parrikar Indoor Stadium, Navelim on Thursday.

The post of Vice-President was filled by Valanka D Souza and Carl D’Souza. Farrel Furtado e Gracias was appointed to the post of Secretary General.
The treasurer is Anthony Alyosius A D Souza. The Joint Secretary is Mahesh Rivankar for the men’s federation and Nelly Rodrigues for the women.
The Executive Members numbering four are Inacio Fernandes, Anjulo Fernandes Mr Amar Bahadur and Fouziya Shaikh. The Co opted members are former State hockey players Dattesh Priolkar, Sam Braganza, Roger D Souza and Danrette. The elections were conducted under Returning Officer Advocate Mildred Mendonca, Vivek Kale HI Observer ,Rajesh Naik Assistant Director State Government Observer and Rupesh Mahatme GOA Observer
