AGENCIES, NEW DELHI: Goa’s teenage badminton sensation Tanisha Crasto won the Atal Puraskar in the sports category for the year 2019-20.
The awards ceremony, organised by the Atal Bharat Sports and Cultural Association was held at ISKCON Auditorium, New Delhi, recently.
Tanisha is the current Junior National Badminton champion in mixed doubles and has won several other medals in National as well as international circuit. She is currently ranked India number one in junior mixed doubles.
Tanisha, who has now started participating in the Senior circuit, won bronze medals in the two back to back Asian Badminton Selection Ranking tournaments held in Bangalore and Goa in January and is one of the most exciting rising badminton players in the Indian circuit.
