PANJIM: G.G.M. Multi Faculty College, Dharbandora defeated Shree Mallikarjun College, Canacona 3-0, in the football tournament organized by Goa University, at Goa University Football Ground, Taleigao Plateau, on Tuesday.
Prasad Mane (25’), Mahaboob Jamadar (45’) and Vishant Velip (68’) scored for Multi Faculty, Dharbandora, as they blanked Mallikarjun College in the 3-0 win.
In another match, Institute of Hospitality and Education, Raia defeated Hospitality and Culinary Education, Cidade de Goa 3-1.
Valmiky Rodrigues, Antonio Kumar and Lyle Fernandes scored for Institute of Hospitality and Education, Raia.
Later, Vivek Noronha pulled a goal back for Cidade de Goa as the match ended in 3-1 scoreline in the favour of Raia side..
Government College, Quepem edged past Shree Damodar College, Margao 7-6 via the tie breaker.
At the normal time both the teams were locked in a 3-3 draw wherein Leo Fernandes, Macklon Colaco and Vinod Kumar scored for Government College, Quepem while Jhonus D’Costa scored an inspiring hat-trick to take his team into the tie-breaker.
In the resultant tie breaker Vinod Kumar, Nickson Fernades, Leo Fernades and Alton Vaz scored for the winners while Maxon Fernades, Jhonus D’Costa and Franjoy Furtado were on target for Damodar College.
