PANJIM: Govt College of Arts Science & Commerce Quepem emerged winners at the inter-collegiate cycling championship organized by Goa University.
The GCQ team won the Championship after a gap of 19 years. There were around 81 cyclists from various colleges of Goa which participated. The distance race was around 25 km.
Pridip Kholphete of Govt College Quepem bagged the individual gold medal whereas the second place was bagged by Sidharth Naik of Chowgule College and Avinash Gaonkar of Quepem College bagged the third place.
Four cyclists of Govt College, Quepem finished in the top ten and the team emerged as overall winners.
