MASHEM: Katyayani Baneshwar Vidyalaya, Pansulemby defeating St. Sebastian High School, Loliem by 114 runs to win the Canacona taluka U-14 President Cup inter-school cricket tournament organised by Goa Cricket Association, at Nirakar Sports Complex, Mashem on Wednesday.
After winning the toss, K B Vidyalaya decided to bat and scored 147 for 7.
Darpan Pagi once again showcased his talent as he scored 43 runs with 8 boundaries while Vansh Bukkam scored 42 runs. Atharv Desai (17) and Rohit Desai(13) also contributed to the total. The team got 24 extra runs.
For St. Sebastian High School Sanch Shirodkar scalped 4 wickets while Sainand Tadadikar took 2 wickets.
Pratham Bhat picked up a wicket.
In reply, St. Sebastian High School were bundled out for 33 runs in 7.3 overs.
Only Pratham Bhat managed to reach double figures as he scored 16 runs.
Six batsmen could not open their account.
K.B. bowler Dhruv Pagi showed his brilliance with the ball as he picked up 4 wickets for just 11 runs.
Vinamra Dhuri and Darpan Pagi picked up 2 wickets each.
