Guardian Angel took the lead in the 15th minute when Rynell Menezes bulged the net with a header off a corner by Desmond Pereira.
After defensive play, Guardian Angel managed to score their second goal in the 25th minute through a powerful long range shot from striker Desmond Pereira.
Disappointed with the lead Guardian Angel got, after changing ends Pope John intensified their efforts and managed to reduce the tally by one goal through their striker Wilfine Fernandes in the 50th minutes.
Both the teams got number of opportunity to increase the tally but they could convert the same.
Guardian Angel HSS will play against Damodar Higher Secondary School, Gudi-Paroda on Friday.
Meanwhile, Guardian Angel HSS girl’s team also entered the final of the under-17 Subroto Mukerjee football by defeating Immaculate Conception High School, Paroda 5-0.
Guardian Angel dominated the entire session from the word go and Nifa Clemente secured a hat-trick while Clemy Godinho registered a brace.
Clemente scored the first goal in the fifth minute followed by the second in the 10th minute and completed his hat-trick in the 25th minutes.
Clemy scored in the 21st minute and secured her second goal of the evening in the 50th minute. They will be playing against Pope John XXII High School, Quepem on Friday.
