CURCHOREM: Guardian Angel Higher Secondary School, Curchorem, clinched the Quepem taluka boys U-17 Subroto Mukherjee football tournament defeating Immaculate Conception High School, Paroda, 2-0 at Figueredo ground, Curchorem.
Guardian Angel succeeded to open the account tin the 20th minute through striker Rehan Gaded.
Immaculate Conception tried their level best to neutralize the deficit but did not succeed in their efforts as Guardian Angel defended resolutely and even managed to strike again when striker Shawn Fernandes powerful shot gave no chance to the rival goalkeeper.
Earlier, Guardian Angel and Immaculate Conception defeated Pope John High School, Quepem, and Damodar Higher Secondary School, Gudi-Paroda, respectively.
