PANJIM: Goan girls Gunjal Chopdekar finished 13th while Swera Braganca secured the 16th position in National under-13 chess championship, at Puri, Bihar, recently.
Gunjal won four with six draws and one defeat while Swera won seven matches, losing four games out of 11 rounds.
In all, 99 girls participated in the tournament which WFM Lakhsimi C of Tamil Nadu was crowned champion with 9.5 points.
