CUNCOLIM: Rosary HSS thrashed St Joseph Sancoale 4-0 to be crowned champions at the U-17 Subroto Mhukerjee (South Goa) tournament, at cuncolim ground, on Friday.
In the first half St Joseph Sancoale put up a brave fight to keep the score levelled however in the second half Rosary HSS came strongly and scored at regular intervals Jeromina took up the fight and she scored a hat-trick as she netted the ball in the 37th, 40th and 43rd minute.
Soon, in the 49th minute Aleda Rebello scored the fourth for Rosary’s.
C Sacramenta was outstanding for St Joseph Sancoale but could not break the strong Rosary defence marshalled by Shirley, Maybelline, Joyce and Ageema. The scores were well fed by Akshata Patil and Ancella Barretto. State finals will be played on August 30.
