PANJIM: International Master Audi Ameya won the Best Game Award as well as the Best Dressed Player Award apart from the podium finish at the just concluded 1st Mayors Trophy Indore International Grand Master Chess Tournament at Indore,MP.
Audi secured the podium finish in the tournament 2023 held, Indore Madhya Pradesh. He was the 23rd seed at the beginning of the event.
He beat GM Dzhumaev Marat, IM Neelash Saha, IM Anup Deshmukh, and drew with GM Stupak Krill and GM Deepan Chakkravathy J.
Audi had 6 wins and 2 draws to tally 7 points out of 10 rounds.
Audi won the best game award for his round 6 game against GM Dzhumaev Marat. He was all set for a win. As a result, his game turned out to be “the most amazing game so far – a real masterpiece”.
Audi mentioned after the game, he wanted to take high risks as he was facing a Grand Master. The game was extremely complicated through and through, but Audi, who was playing the white pieces, had the upper hand.
