PANJIM: India outsmarted England by five wickets to remain unbeaten and grab three points in the fourth game of the India-England-Sri Lanka Triangular T20 Cricket Series for the Blind organised by Cricket Association for the Blind in India and Samarthanam, at Goa Cricket Association ground, Porvorim, on Tuesday.
On a hot and humid day, England captain Ed Hossell won the toss and opted to bat first. India captain Ajay Reddy struck twice in the first over and the English batsmen were never able to recover from that as they managed to muster up only 131 for 8 at the end of the 20th over mark with the help of a half century from Pete Blueitt.
Chasing the low target, Indian batsmen were very cautious and lost a few early wickets but a composed half century from Sunil Ramesh saw the chase through.
With this win, India extended their points tally to 9 and England are yet to open their account in the tri-series.
On Wednesday, India will take on Sri Lanka at 11 a.m.
