ITI Bicholim, ITI Margao up

PANJIM: ITI Bicholim beat ITI Mapusa in the finals of cricket tournament in 12th all-Goa inter-ITI cricket championship at Peddem ground, Mapusa, Tuesday.

Earlier, in the semi-finals, ITI Mapusa beat ITI Panjim.

In the finals, Bicholim scored 74 wherein Mapusa managed only 48 runs.

In volleyball, Sesa beat ITI Honda 25-19, 19-25, 25-19; ITI Panjim beat ITC Montfort 25-14, 25-10; ITI Pernem beat ITI Mapusa 25-21, 25-22.

In South Goa, ITI, Margao got the better of ITI, Canacona by three wickets. Yuvraj Naik did the star turn for Margao taking four wickets for 10 runs.

ITI Canacona 48/7 in 10 overs. Yuvraj Naik 4/10. ITI Margao 52/7 in 9.5 overs, with Jayesh Kinlekar scoring 15.

In the other match, ITI, Cacora beat ITI Vasco by 24 runs.

ITI Cacora 82/6 in 10 overs. Tejal Borkar 48. Yamnari 3/5.

ITI Vasco 58/9 in 10 overs. Aswheen 2/6, Mayur 2/5.
