RAIA: Ambelim 1 outplayed Ambelim 2 5-1 to move into the next round of Regina Martyrum Parish Cup 2023 inter-ward 5-a-side football tournament organised by Regina Martyrum Parish for the villagers of Assolna and Ambelim, at Assolna Church ground, on Thursday.
For Ambelim 1, Jenniton D’Silva scored a hat-trick in the 12th, 22nd and 24th minutes, Glen Colaco scored in the 19th and 21st minutes. Perryson pulled one back for Ambelim 2 in the 25th minute. Man-of-the-match was awarded to Jenniton D’Silva.
In another match, Pedda defeated Colleavaddo by 4-2 margin. Roswin scored two goals for Pedda in the 15th and 21st minutes. Blasco and Arvin scored one goal each in the 7th and 26th minute respectively.
Garison Cardozo and Shenoy Fernandes scored for Colleavaddo in the 11th and 25th minute respectively. Man-of-the-match was awarded to Roswin of Pedda.
In the final match of the day, Tarivaddo 2 got the better of Orel by a margin of 4-2 goals. Jaden Cardozo scored two goals in the 4th and 19th minutes while Jeral D’Silva scored in the 18th and 29th minutes for Tarivaddo 2.
Meliston Pereira and David scored for Orel in the 3rd and 24th minutes respectively. Jaden Cardozo was adjudged the man-of-the-match by chief guest Fr Stanley Fernandes.
