RAIA: Joe Cookies Veterans, Lotoulim defeated Mapusa Veterans 8-7 via the tie-breaker to lift the Rachol Veterans Trophy organised by Rachol Veterans, at Village panchayat Raia ground, on Sunday. The match ended goalless.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Joe Cookies, Lotoulim Veterans proved to be better shooters.
Francis Sardinha ex-MP South Goa was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to winners and runners-up in the presence of Vicky Coutinho,Chairman I-Can Management and Consultancy, Anthony Pango, Vice-president of GFA, Cosme Oliveira, GFA Executive member other dignitaries and club officials.
