DUBAI: Jolly Tiger Golden Team (JTGT) of Goan expats ushered into the New Year by clinching their first trophy by winning the UV Sports Festival Football tournament defeating Sukoon FC. A total of five teams participated in the 7-a-side league-cum-knockout football tournament held at Woodlem School Ground, in the Qusais district of Dubai.
JTGT maintained supremacy throughout the tournament by scoring a total of 9 goals, all due to super display of football skills by centre forward Razzak and Ayman who played left forward.

Razzak (JTGT) won the Golden Boot while captain Fayaz (JTGT) won the Best Goalkeeper Trophy, Faizan (Sukoon FC) was awarded as Best Defender.
Bollywood artiste M S Khan was the chief guest who awarded the winners. The event was hosted and anchored by Sayed Sabir of SS Events. The tournament was supported by the Goan expats association – Goans Connecting Goans, Anaya, Frame Colors and others.
