NAGOA: Kalapeo boys defeated Aisool Boys 3-1 in the Nagoa Castel United Boys 8th five-a-side league tournament organised by Nagoa Castel United Boys with the help of Capuchin priest Fr Franky Fernandes at Nagoa on Sunday. Snedan Dias scored a brace while Scotch Fernandes netted the third for Kalapeo. John Fernandes reduced the margin for Aisool Boys.
Kalapeo Boys received Rs 12,000 and a trophy while Aisool Boys earned Rs 10,000 and a trophy.
Eight teams — Kasovv, Pittol, Kalapeo, Kelea Daddio, Aisool, Chikallea, Adoiyeo and Tigur — took part.
The top scorer of the tournament was Andrian Fernandes. The first’ scorer of the final was Snedan Dias (Kalapeo boys).
Meanwhile Castel Kids beat Messi Kids in the Exhibition Kids match and were awarded Rs 3,000. Fr Blair and Fr Franky were special invitees.
