Krishnanand is chief of Nehru Stadium Employees Club

PANJIM: Krishnanand Gaonkar, electrical foreman and one of the senior most employee of Sports Authority of Goa was unanimously elected as the president of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Employees Welfare Club at the annual general body meeting at the conference hall, Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, recently.

Other office bearers are: Vice President Artemizia Fernandes (UDC), General Secretary Raju Adpaikar (ground supervisor), Joint Secretary Sofia Rodrigues, Treasurer Patrick Soares (athletics coach), Joint Treasurer Fatima Rodrigues and Sports Co-ordinator Conceicao Fernandes (handball coach).

It was decided at the meeting that the annual cultural and sports day will be held on August 8 and 9.
