MARGAO: Social Cultural Club of Loutolim defeated Sporting Club of Davorlim 4-3 via the tie-breaker to cruise into the quarter-finals of all Goa Fr Basilo Andrade memorial inter-village football tournament organized A.A.De Majorda, at Musson ground, Majorda on Wednesday.
There was no score at full time.
The teams displayed attacking brand of soccer and kept each other on their toes, as a result there were few thrills at either end. Both had equal number of scoring chances.
The same trend continued in second session as the teams did not showed urgency instead played safely packing their defence and not allowing their forwards to manoeuvre inside their box.
With the regulation time ending in a goalless draw, the tie-breaker was enforced and Loutolim came out victorious scoring through Mingul Athaide, Eziel Fernandes, Oswald Dias and Vicky Rodrigues while Clinton Niasso, Paxton Gomes, and Milagres Peixoto converted for Sporting Club of Davorlim.
