PANJIM: The Congress party has alleged that Goa government’s inefficiency as responsible for postponement of Lusofonia Games from November to January 2014.
However, when it was pointed out that the Congress-led Goa government had delayed setting up the same infrastructure for three years, Sardinha replied, “I have not applied my mind to it.”
On his criticism of the Government he said, “Don’t make Goa a laughing stock internationally. BJP government had one and half year to complete the infrastructure for the games…government had enough time as there was urgency,” Sardinha claimed.
He also ridiculed the delegation’s visit to Macau to ask for postponement. “…This only shows the inefficiency of the government. Why infrastructure was not started,” he questioned.
