CHORAO: Madel Boys got the better of host Dhamaka Boys 5-4 via the tie-breaker in the final of the inter-Chorao 7-a-side football tournament, Saude ground, here, recently.
Chorao village panchayat Deputy Sarpanch Shamba Kalangutkar was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Rajan Usgaoncar and other dignitaries.
The winners were awarded Rs 3,000 and a trophy while the runners-up took home Rs 2,000 and a trophy.
Individual prizes were awarded to the following players. Best goalkeeper: Prasad Golatkar (Madel Boys). Best shooter: Michael D’Mello (Bhaktawaddo SC). Best defender: Girish Narvekar (Madel Boys). Upcoming player: Manish Hadfadkar (Bhaktawado SC). Dhamaka Champ: Sandeep Chawan (Bhaktawado SC).
