KAKODA-CURCHOREM: Maina SC, Curtorim blanked CAC Cansaulim 3-0 to move into the semi-finals of the Holy Cross Cup in memory of Albert J Fernandes organised by Holy Cross Sports Club, Kakoda-Vodlemoll, at Kakoda ground, on Sunday.
Maina opened the score-line through Aliston Fernandes’ placement shot in the tenth minute. Joshley Gomes doubled the account for Maina in the 26th minute.
As the match progressed in the second half, Maina’s goal-scoring machine Milagres Fernandes slammed a powerful left footer which hit the inside of the crossbar and crashed into Cansaulim nylons in the 60th minute.
Maina Sports Club and will meet Guirdolim Club in the semi-finals.
