CHICALIM: Mangor Sports Club drew with Chicalim Sports Club 4-4 in the Mormugao Zone GFA’s 3rd Division League at Chicalim panchayat ground. Both were level 1-1 at half-time.
Chicalim shot into the lead in the 13th minute through Santosh Godamani only for Valan Miranda to equalize with a good effort to put Mangor level.
In the second half, it was a goal feast with six goals being scored. Mangor got their goals through Melvinson Correia and a brace by their star player Preetesh Mangueshkar while Royston Godinho, Sainath Naik and prolific scorer Noel D’ Mello scored for Chicalim in a high scoring match.
In another match, Cortalim Villagers breezed past Parish Youth Association, Consua 2-1.
James Vaz and Nevidade Mendes scored for Cortalim in the 70th and 84th minutes respectively while Regan Mesquita pulled one for the losers in the 55th minute.
