PARODA: Margao SC got the better of Ugem Rising club 3-1 to storm into the semi-finals of the Assis Afonso memorial inter-village football tournament organised by Fr Agnel Youth Sports Club, Paroda at Panchayat ground, Avedem, on Sunday.
Rahul Fernandes opened the score-line for Margao in the 20th minute.
Fifteen minutes later Ugem equalised through Clement Pereira. Margao netted two more goals through Alfred Noronha and Edgar Noronha in the 49th and 56th minutes respectively to make it 3-1.
Margao SC will now meet SC Davorlim in the semi-final on January 13.
