PANJIM: Margao SC edged past United Boys of Dando Colva by a solitary goal win in the Goa Football Association’s Third Division League match played at Dando ground, Benaulim, on Saturday.
Floriano Vaz scored the well-deserved goal in the 70th to help Margao Sports Club grab three points.
In another match at Raia ground, Raitura SC and Shiroda Youth Club match ended in a 1-1 draw. Ivon Antao was the first one to open the account for Shiroda Youth Club as he swept home the cross by Royston Vaz in the 7th minute.
Struck by reverse the Raitura side controlled the ball and tried to find the equaliser which they managed to net in the 30th minute through Adlear Soares.
Elsewhere, Navelim Sporting Club scored a fluent 2-0 win over Sirvodem Sports Club. Navelim Sporting netted through Ratesh Namaskar and Bonny Souza in the 26th and 32nd minutes respectively.
At Curtorim ground, Maina SC defeated Sao Jose de Areal 3-1. Fremy Fernandes, Clifford Gomes and Wilson Fernandes netted a goal each for the winners while the struggling Areal side managed to pull a goal back through Vishal Fernandes in the 48th minute.
Elsewhere at Chapora ground, Football Club of Siolim blanked Chapora Yuvak Sangh.
FC Siolim scored through Sidhant Shirodkar, Sadanand Dabholkar and Sandeep Dhangalkar.
At Duler Stadium, United Club Nerul scored a narrow 2-1 win over Guirim Youth and Cultural Sports Club.
