MARGAO: Marina English High School, Verna, St Alex Higher Secondary School, Curtorim and Mae dos Pobres High School, Nuvem entered the semi-finals of Salcete Taluka under-17 boys Subroto Mukerjee inter-school football tournament organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Mandopa ground, Navelim on Monday.
Marina English High School blanked Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim 2-0.
Andrew John and Maclon Fernandes scored for Marina English HS.
In the second match, St Alex Higher Secondary School, Curtorim defeated St Joseph High School, Aquem 2-0. Dylan Lourenco and Ladson Fernandes were the goal getters for St Alex HSS.
In the third match of the day, Mae dos Pobres High School, Nuvem thumped Manovikas English Medium School, Margao 3-0. Eugene Fernandes, Juven Colaco and Denikson Dias were the goal scorers.
