CURCHOREM: Mathura Farm Sports Club defeated S K Worriers by six wickets in the inaugural match of 11th All Goa White Season Ball, T20 cricket tournament organised by Sanvordem Gymkhana Sports Cultural Association (SGSCA) and Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) in collaboration with Sanguem-Quepem Patrakar Sangh (SQPS), at SAG ground, Curchorem, on Saturday.
Mathura Farm scored 108/4 in 11.3 overs while Worriers were bundled out for 102 in 16.1 overs.
Mathura Farm SC’s Ashutosh Naik was declared the Man-of-the-Match.
Power Minister Nilesh Cabral inaugurated the tournament. Earlier, the organisers along with guests and players paid homage to the departed souls of our brave CRPF personnel who died while serving the nation selflessly and strongly condemned the brutal terrorist attack in Pulwama district of Kashmir and observed one minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed souls CRPF personnel, Mapusa MLA Francis D’Souza and former St Andre MLA Vishnu Surya Wagh and expressed condolences to their families.
Former Sanguem MLA Subhash Fal Dessai, Sanvordem Sarpanch Sandeep Pauskar, CCMC Councillor Balkrishna Hodarkar, Social Worker Rajendra Naik and SAG incharge John Fernandes and SQPS President Prahar Sawardekar were also present.
