PANJIM: Merces Club came from behind to hold Bhagawati Sports Club to a 1-1 draw in the Goa Football Association’s Second Division League game, played at Agassaim ground, on Tuesday.
The teams got off to a dull start as they lacked finishing and failed to make a bright start as both teams played out a goalless first half.
Moving over, Bhagawati Sports Club’s Vinayak Kunkolekar opened the scoring in the 54th minute with a fine placement into the nylons.
But the Bhagawati sure failed to get their defence in line as ten minutes later, Merces Club found the equaliser through Gauresh Faterpekar who made it all square.
Both the teams had to share the points after either sides failed to find the match winner.
