MAPUSA: Milagres Sports Club maintained their perfect run with a thumping 4-0 win over Cunchelim Sports Club in the GFA’s 2nd Division league match played at Duler Stadium here on Friday.
Milagres who are unbeaten in the league from four outings netted two goals in each half with Rohan Pednekar scoring a brace while Marc D`Cruz and Edgar also got their names on the score-sheet.
Marc D`Cruz put Milagres ahead in the first minute providing finishing touches to a dangerous cross whipped into the box by Rohan Pednekar, 1-0
Cunchelim muffed a glorious chance of getting back on terms when Rama controlling a long ball from Rohit could not keep his placement goal wards with the keeper out of position.
Rohan Pednekar scored a gem of a goal to further consolidate Milagres lead minutes into the match, 2-0.
Cunchelim need to thank their keeper Siraj for keeping the score line down as he brought two breathtaking stops in the 33rd and 37th minutes to deny Edgar Noronha headers from point blank in range finding the net.
Milagres sealed the match with two more goals first coming from Edgar in the 67th minute who getting hold off a long ball by Siddhanth outfoxed a couple of defenders and also the advancing keeper to slot the ball into the unguarded goal, 3-0.
Rohan Pednekar got his brace seven minutes later unleashing a fierce shot which had no answer to the keeper, 4-0
