MAPUSA: Milagres SC, Mapusa registered a fluent 3 -1 win over Vagator PYSC to advance into the quarters of the St Anthony’s Cup, organised by St. Anthony’s SC Marna, at Siolim ground, on Monday.
It was Vagator PY that opened their account in the 13th minute when Melvin Lobo’s shot hit the rival crossbar and entered the goal.
Down by a goal, Milagres went all out in search of the equaliser finally in the 42nd minute Sapnesh levelled terms scoring from inside the penalty box.
Leon D’Souza doubled the lead with a neat placement in the 47th minute and three minutes before the final whistle Negat Parsekar netted another goal.
