MAPUSA: Milagres Sports Club, Mapusa thumped Quitula Sports Club 3-1 in 4th Milagres Cup football tournament organized by Milagres Sports Club, Mapusa at Bodgeshwar ground, Mapusa, Tuesday. Milagres led 1-0 at the breather.
Milagres surged ahead in the 25th minute after Sapnesh found Noel in an ideal position and the latter made no mistake in slotting past the rival goalkeeper.
Changing over, an own-goal by Quitula’s Pundalik made it 2-0 in Milagres’ favour.
Sapnesh scored Milagres’ third goal. Aldo netted a consolation for Quitula.
Yesterday, Saligao Sporting Club got the better of Calangute Association 2-0. Abhijit Govekar and Raul D’Mello scored for Saligao.
