PANJIM: Mount Mary High School and The Kings School scored resounding wins in their respective encounters of the U-13 Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs Futsal Tournament, organised by Futsal Association of Goa (FAG) and held at Don Bosco Fatorda.
In the first match of the boy’s category, St Jude Betalbatim were humbled by Mount Mary HS 0-5.
Sohail Shaikj scored a fine hat-trick while Neshwil Pinto and Daniel Fernandes scored a goal each for the winning side.
In the second match, Our Lady of Carmel HS, Curtorim scored a narrow 2-1 win over Adarsh HS, Margao. Alywrier Fernandes scored a brace for the winning side while Adil Shaikh pulled a goal back for Adarsh.
Meanwhile in the third game, The Kings School had an easy outing against Posh Medium School wherein they scored a 5-1 win with Langstan Vaz and Salman Shaikh scoring a brace each. Samuel Costa was the other goal scorer for the winning side.
Rylan Xavi Lourenco managed to score a consolation goal for Post Medium School.
In the girl’s category, St Jude’s HS Betalbatim eased past Perpetual Succor Convent HS 4-0. Vinoshka Fernandes scored a hat-trick while Viena Coelho scored the fourth for the winners.
In the second match, The Kings School beat Rosary High School 3-2 via the tie-breaker after playing out enthralling 2-2 draw in the regulation time.
Velanda D’Silva scored two for Rosary HS and Keyoshi Fernandes and Sanyak Dessai scored a goal each for The Kings School. In the resultant tie-breaker, The Kings School walked away victorious.
