AGASSAIM: Nauxim SC humbled Merces Club 6-0, in the Goa Football Association’s Second Division League match played at Agassaim ground, on Sunday.
Either of the teams started the match on an attacking note, however Nauxim Sports Club took control of the game in the first quarter and found the breakthrough in the 24th minute through a slendid goal bound strike by Nandesh Murgaonkar.
Nadesh went on and inflated the lead in the 34th minute to make it 2-0 before half-time.
Post resumption, Nauxim SC started off from where they left and netted their third goal as Sagar Fateparkar scored in the 51st minute.
The in-form striker Nandesh, went on to add two more goals to his name in the 63rd and 80th minutes respectively.
Nauxim’s Sagar Fateparkar scored in the 87th minute to complete their 6-0 rout of Merces Club.
Meanwhile in the GFA U-16 league, Sports Authority of India (SAI) Training Centre thumped Goa Velha Sports Club 7-1 at Don Bosco ground, Panjim.
