CARMONA: Navelim Villagers Union defeated United Club of Seraulim 5-4 via the tie-breaker to enter the last eight stage of the Carmona Village Panchayat Cup inter village football tournament, organised by Carmona Sports Club, at Carmona Panchayat ground.

UC Seraulim was leading by two goals scored by Senato and Mohsin in the first half. In the second session, Navelim Villagers Union fought brilliantly and equalised scoring both through Clinton and Joseph. In the resultant tie-breaker, Navelim Villagers Union proved to be better shooters.
