PANJIM: Nayal Borim defeated Iqbal XI by 20 runs to move into next round in the Panjim Gymkhana’s Bandodkar Knock Out T20 cricket tournament 2015 at Panjim Gymkhana ground, Campal-Panjim, on Friday. Nayal Borim won the toss and elected to bat scoring 109 runs losing eight wickets in 18 overs.
Tushar Gawde 11, Felix Dias 32, Sachin Bhat 14, Abhinav Marathe 15, Vishal Gawde 13 laid a strong foundation for the team. Siddhu Revan 1/20, Mayur Naik 1/17, Shailesh Chodankar 2/16, Imran Pirani 3/13 tried their best to keep the wickets falling.
In reply, Iqbal XI fell short of 21 runs losing all wickets at 89 in 16.1 overs.
Shaheen Surlekar 33 and Mukhtar Kadri 15 were the top scorers. Stenley Fernandes 2/19, Stenley Rodriguese 3/9, Vishal Gawde 2/17 and Tushar Gawde 2/13 rattled the batting line up.
